Auburn Outdoors invites you to experience the outdoors with our team as your guide. On local day excursions and epic spring break road trips, you’ll find inclusive, small group experiences that welcome you to the outdoor community at Auburn.

Our goal is to connect you early and often in your time at Auburn with the outdoors. We believe that by connecting you with the outdoors and others, that you’ll be more successful in the classroom.

Trips and Duration

Day Trips

Auburn is home to a number of outdoor adventure locations. Day trips are designed to introduce you to the adventure that is right in Auburn’s backyard, and most importantly, to connect you with others that enjoy getting outside.

Price: $0 - $75

Places we love to go: Chewacla State Park - Hiking • Standing Boy - Mountain Biking Trails • Tallapoosa River – Paddling and Fly Fishing • Chattahoochee River – Whitewater Rafting • Montgomery Whitewater – Whitewater Kayaking and Rafting

Cancellations made less than 5 days from a day trip will NOT receive a refund of any funds, including participants not showing on the day of the trip New Information

Cancellations made more than 5 days from the day of the trip, will be refunded less $10, if Auburn Outdoors is able to replace the participant with a member from the waitlist

No refunds will be issued for trips costing $10 or less

Extended Break Trips

Auburn Outdoors also offers extended, 4-7 day trips, over school breaks. Our goal is to make adventures that are farther away more accessible and more affordable.

All extended trips require your attendance at a pre-trip meeting held at Auburn Outdoors’ Rental Center. At this meeting, you’ll meet others going on the trip, learn about what to bring, and what to expect day to day on the trip.

Price: $100 - $500

Weekenders

Ready for more time in the outdoors? Weekend trips allow you to see something new and try something new within a 6 hour drive of Auburn.

Weekend trips depart on Friday afternoons and return Sunday afternoons. All weekend trips require your attendance at a pre-trip meeting held at Auburn Outdoors’ Rental Center. At this meeting, you’ll meet others going on the trip, learn about what to bring, and what to expect day to day on the trip.

Price: $25 - $100

Places we love to go: Appalachian Trail, Georgia • Cherokee Rock Village, Alabama • Pine Mountain Trail, Georgia • Foster Falls, Tennessee • Pinhoti Trail, Alabama Register now on RWC!

Cancellation

Cancellations after the pre-scheduled pre-trip meeting for extended or weekend trips will NOT be refunded

Cancellations made prior to the pre-scheduled pre-trip meeting will be refunded less $10, if Auburn Outdoors is able to replace the participant with a member from the waitlist

No refunds will be issued for trips costing $10 or less
