Weekend Appalachian Trail Section Trip

Registration on RWC Connect: January 10 - April 16 Cost: $50 (includes transportation, gear, food, and guided experience) Auburn Outdoors is hitting the trail this Semester to take on Blood Mountain, Georgia's highest peak on the Appalachian Trail. The Appalachian Trail is a popular hiking trail that winds along 2,184 miles from Georgia to Maine. Join us on a weekend backpacking trip that will earn you the right to claim you've hiked a section of the AT. This trip is intended for participants with some experience in backpacking. Participants should be able to travel on uneven surfaces and carry up to 35 lbs. Transportation, gear, food, and guided experience are included in the trip fee. A required pre-trip meeting will be held on April 16 at 5 P.M. at Auburn Outdoors. Cancellations after the pre-scheduled pre-trip meeting for extended or weekend trips will NOT receive a refund of any funds. Cancellations made more than 5 days from the day of the trip, will be refunded less $10 IF Auburn Outdoors can replace the participant with a member from the waitlist.
