Member Guidelines

Day-Use Lockers
-
Day-use lockers are distributed throughout the facility and are available for Auburn University Students and Recreation & Wellness Center Members at no additional charge.

Day-use lockers are available in standard and wallet size.
-
Locks are provided for day-use lockers for you to set your own combination.

Belongings may not be left overnight in day-use lockers.
-
Personal items left in the lockers will be removed and retained. Items may be claimed at the Welcome Desk. If not claimed in seven (7) days, items will be donated to charity.
Faculty and Staff Lockers
-
The Faculty/Staff Locker rooms are available for Auburn University Employees, Retirees and Spouse/Partner Members only.

Limited Faculty/Staff Lockers are available in full and standard size.

The Faculty/Staff Locker rooms have secure access. Only members who have purchased Faculty/Staff Lockers are allowed in locker room. Auburn University ID card must be swiped at locker entrance in order to access the Faculty/Staff Locker room.

Faculty/Staff Locker rental includes towel service which will be distributed at the Equipment Desk as well as placed inside the Faculty/Staff Locker room.

Faculty/Staff Lockers may be rented on an annual basis only and must be payroll deducted. Payroll deductions are initiated by completion of a payroll deduction form at the Welcome Desk or on our website

Faculty/Staff Locker rentals paid for by payroll deduction renew automatically for as long as this method of payment remains in place.

If Faculty/Staff Lockers are currently filled, the member’s name will be added to a waiting list upon request. As lockers become available, persons on the waiting list will be contacted in the order that requests were received.
Guest Passes

Guests of the Auburn University Recreation and Wellness Center must be sponsored by an Auburn University Recreation and Wellness Center Member.

Guest passes are valid for the purchase date only.

Guest passes can be purchased at the Welcome Desk of the Recreation and Wellness Center Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 am-8:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Soliciting patrons to gain access to the Recreation and Wellness Center is prohibited.

Guests:

Must be 19 years of age or older.

Must present their photo ID.
-
Must complete a waiver.
-
Must pay the guest fee of $10.00 by credit card (MasterCard, Discover or Visa)

Are limited to 3 visits to the Recreation and Wellness Center per semester.

May only use day-use lockers.
-
May check out equipment at equipment desk.
-
May not check out equipment at Outdoor Resource Center.
-
May not participate in Campus Recreation programs such as Intramural Sports, Club Sports, and Personal Training..
-
May not have the opportunity to reserve courts.

Must be accompanied by their sponsor during their entire visit. When the sponsor has concluded his/her use of the facility and departs, their guest must also depart.

Guest Pass fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Sponsors of Guests:

Must accompany guests during their entire visit. When the sponsor has concluded his/her use of the facility and departs, their guest must also depart.

Are responsible for their guest’s actions during their visit to the Recreation and Wellness Center.

Are limited to 2 guest passes a day. If there are special circumstances, please contact membership services at 844-0021.
Campus Recreation reserves the right to terminate member and guest privileges for failure to abide by set policies and procedures or misuse of the facilities/ equipment. Guest Pass is a privilege, which may be modified or revoked at the discretion of the Recreation and Wellness Center Staff.
Lost and Found

The Department of Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost, forgotten, damaged, stolen, etc. articles.

Campus Recreation staff members are not permitted to hold equipment, valuables, or bags for patrons.

Found items should be turned in to the Welcome Desk.

Inquiries regarding items lost that day (including ID’s) should be made at the Welcome Desk located at the entrance of the Recreation and Wellness Center (ph. 334.844.0021).

Owners may reclaim these items by presenting their ID card and signing the Personal Items Claim Log.

Patrons are not allowed to search through lost items.

For health reasons, towels, t-shirts, socks, bathing suits, toiletries, and undergarments will be discarded within 7 days.
-
Any other items not claimed within a 7 day period will be donated to a local charity.

Auburn University Students, Recreation and Wellness Center members and guests are encouraged to store all personal belongings securely in lockers provided throughout the Recreation and Wellness Center.
Photos and Video

Videography and photography are not allowed within the Recreation and Wellness Center without prior consent. To make a request, contact campusrec@auburn.edu.
Refunds
-
Campus Recreation does not issue refunds (full or partial) for memberships, group fitness passes, personal training sessions or any other for-fee service or programming.
Rights and Disclaimers
-
Campus Recreation reserves the right to revoke a locker rental should a patron fail to maintain his or her assigned locker and any contents in a sanitary condition. At least one warning will be issued before revocation is imposed.

Campus Recreation reserves the right to remove personal items left in lockers for which rental has not been renewed and to remove personal items left in Day-use Lockers overnight. Owners may reclaim these items by presenting their ID card at the Welcome Desk and signing the Personal Items Claim Log. Items not claimed within a 7 day period following expiration of a locker rental or removal from a day locker will be donated to a local charity.

Campus Recreation is not responsible for personal items that are lost or damaged as a result of theft, being left in the locker rooms, being removed by Membership Services personnel from lockers for which rental was not renewed, or being removed from day lockers in which they had been left overnight.

Questions or concerns related to locker rental or reports of malfunctioning lockers should be directed to the Membership Services office. Renewal dates for locker rentals will be posted online and at key locations within the Auburn University Recreation & Wellness Center.

Locker rooms will be cleaned and sanitized on a daily basis. Lockers are to be kept clean and sanitized by the user. Campus Recreation reserves the right to clean and sanitize individual lockers as needed. If lockers are going to be cleaned by the Recreation and Wellness Center staff, users will receive advanced written notice.

Unclean items should not be left in lockers overnight. This is intended to help maintain a clean, healthy, and odor-free environment in the locker rooms.

Lockers should be locked while unattended to help prevent theft.
Student Spouses and Partners
-
The Student Member sponsoring their spouse must be present at the time of purchase.

Memberships can be purchased in person at the Welcome Desk located at the entrance of the RWC.
-
Student ID, spouse photo ID and proof of age will be required as part of the RWC membership application process.

Semester Membership may be purchased with MasterCard, Visa or Discover only.
Tours
-
Membership Services will offer tours every 15 minutes Monday-Thursday from 5:30 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday from 5:30 a.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday from 12 -9 p.m.

Tours run between 20-30 minutes, though this time can be adjusted.

Reservations are required to guarantee group tours. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance, or depending on available space, at least one day before the actual tour date.

Group and Individual Tours may be scheduled by filling out a tour request. You may also contact Membership Services at 334-844-0021. Walk-in tours are welcomed.

If visitors on walk-in tours arrive after a tour has started, they must wait for the next tour.

Children (under age 14) of all ages are allowed on MODIFIED tours only.
-
There must be 1 adult present for every 2 children (under age 14).
-
For safety purposes, adults responsible for small children must hold their child’s hand throughout the tour.

Large Groups will also need to take the modified tour. We have found that taking tours around weight equipment on Heisman level is dangerous for all ages and gets in the way of members using the weight equipment.

A maximum of 15 people are allowed on a tour at a time, unless there are children present to take the tour.

A maximum of 10 people are allowed on a tour if children are present.

Campus Recreation Student Staff cannot be responsible for holding drinks for those who are taking tours. Bottled water is the only drink allowed on tours. Patrons must finish their drink before taking a tour. Campus Recreation Employees cannot be held liable should someone something happen to their drink.

It is very important that everyone stays together on the tour. If someone on a tour needs to use the restroom, the whole tour needs to stop and wait on the person.
Towel Service

Complimentary towels are available at the Equipment Desk.

Members must return towels at the Equipment Desk in order to check out a towel during their next visit.
